Artist Kendyll Romine has challenged herself to draw one leading lady of Broadway each day for an entire year. You can view her vibrant and expressive “Ladies of the Theatre” on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, and you can purchase framed prints, mugs, and other great stuff featuring her artwork at Society6.
We’re more than two-thirds of the way through 2016, and Kendyll is on track to meet her goal– she has already drawn over 250 women from the musical theatre!
Tams-Witmark assembled 25 of our favorites… some are portraits of specific actresses in a role, while others simply capture the spirit of a character.
We’ll show you the picture and the name of the actress who originated the role on Broadway. Can you name the character and show?
